5 wrestlers who are actually super nice in real life

Wrestling (WWE rather than Olympic wrestling) is a huge moneymaker because so many people love to watch it and are entertained by it. Each wrestler has his or her own persona that may or may not be a nice person in the ring. Here, though, are five wrestlers who are actually super nice in real life.

1. The Miz

The Miz is an incredibly obnoxious character in the ring. He has huge notoriety and people enjoy not liking him. However, he isn’t actually like that in real life. Out of the ring, The Miz is known to be incredibly humble, sweet, and charming. He got married in 2014 to wrestler Maryse Ouellet, and earlier in September, the couple announced that they’re expecting their first child.

2. Roman Reigns

WWE exists to make money and provide entertainment to people. In order to do this, they do their best to keep the real nature of their villain characters a secret. But, word has started to leak about how nice Roman Reigns actually is. In real life, the man simply goes by “Joe.” In an interview, he was telling some amazing stories, and admitted his love of the younger WWE fan base. Reigns is married to Galina Joelle Becker, and the couple has a daughter.

3. Summer Rae

For a little while there in her career Summer Rae was considered much like every other mean girl in high heels, and fans didn’t really care about her. Then, two years ago she appeared in the WWE hidden prank camera series Swerved and everything changed. Summer Rae didn’t realize she was being pranked when trying to help an elderly lady. The compassion that she showed the woman showed all of the fans just how different Summer Rae is from her TV persona.

4. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe comes across as a jerk in the ring, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Outside of the ring he’s incredibly supportive of the rookie wrestlers, gives them advice, and answers any questions that they have.

5. Stephanie McMahon

While Stephanie plays a character that fans love to hate when she’s in the ring, she’s nothing like that in real life. Stephanie is involved in numerous charities, helps run the day-to-day operations of the WWE’s anti-bullying campaign, and is a major supporter of the Connor’s Cure organization.

Nothing is what it appears to be in wrestling. Fans should remember that that applies to the wrestlers as well.
