Top 4 restaurant horror stories

Restaurants are great; you get to sit back and relax and have someone else cook your meals for a change. Add in some delicious food and it’s a recipe for success. Sometimes, however, things don’t always go as well as you’d like them to.

Check out these four restaurant horror stories and count your blessings that these didn’t happen to you.

1. Passive aggressive condiments

When you’re hungry, 30 minutes can seem like an eternity. Whether these people were downright pissed or just hangry, they sure got their point across loud and clear.

I can’t help but feel a little bad for the server though. If they were already busy, this is just going to take extra time away from someone else waiting for service.

2. A hairy situation

There’s nothing grosser than pulling a long hair out of your food (or a short curly one which is even more terrifying). On a more personal note, one time I was at a sushi restaurant and ordered a mango ice cream for dessert. I pulled what seemed like the longest hair out of my ice cream after already taking a few bites. When I told the server, she took the hair from me, holding it up to my head telling me that I was mistaken and this was my own hair.

Yes, I froze my own hair into the ice cream…not the most logical explanation. After arguing with me for about 10 minutes, she refused to give any type of apology. Needless to say, I’ve never returned to that sushi restaurant!

If you’ve ever been to IHOP, you know it’s not the classiest establishment. Next time you find yourself in one, make sure to look down at your feet. You may just get a view of some creepy crawlies which seem to frequent every IHOP. Roaches galore.

Some people have even reported roaches in their food. My skin is crawling just thinking about it!

4. Happily never after

You know the cliché – proposing to someone at a restaurant in a glass of champagne? Well, sometimes these grand gestures don’t go according to plan. There have been viral videos of people being rejected as an entire restaurant audience looks on. Some women have even swallowed the ring!

Practice safe proposals and don’t do it in a restaurant. Save yourself the embarrassment.
